CTO Advisory & Technology Strategy
IT Strategy & CTO Advisory
I've spent 20 years inside the problem - not looking at it from the outside. Architecture reviews, team rebuilds, platform migrations, AI integrations that actually shipped. Pick a slot and let's talk through yours.

The Work
Most of the time, the tech
isn't the problem
Nine out of ten "technical" crises I've walked into were ownership problems wearing an architecture costume. No one decided who was accountable. Roadmaps kept getting reprioritised. Engineers kept rewriting the same module because the spec kept changing. I don't come in and generate a report. I sit with the actual constraint - whether that's a codebase, a process, or a team dynamic - and work out what has to change and in what order. The output is always a decision, not a deck.
Areas of Engagement
Things I've actually fixed -
not just consulted on
These aren't topics I've read about. Each of these is something I've had to make a call on under pressure, with real teams, real deadlines, and real consequences if it went wrong.

Execution Depth
I've done the 3am database
migrations too
I've debugged payment failures at 35M API calls a day, told a board their flagship product needed a six-month rebuild before it could scale, and been the person who had to make that call stick. That context doesn't come from a certification. I've shipped in TravelTech, FinTech, EdTech, Retail, Hospitality SaaS, and AdTech - each with completely different infrastructure constraints, compliance expectations, and team shapes. When I advise on something, I'm drawing on having done it.
Background
Operator, not observer
There's a real difference between someone who's sat in the CTO chair and someone who advises CTOs. I've done both - and the first one teaches you what actually breaks, why engineers push back on certain decisions, and how to read a team's real capacity versus their estimated one. That's the lens I bring into every conversation.
I also write about this. Published author on Amazon, engineering articles on Medium, and open-source contributions on GitHub - because the best way to test whether you understand something is to explain it in public.

Who Books These Sessions
You're probably here because
something isn't working
Most people who reach out aren't looking for a vendor. They're looking for someone who's been in the room where that exact decision got made - and can tell them what they'd do differently with the benefit of hindsight. That's the conversation this session is for.
CEO
Scaling past product-market fit but engineering has stalled
The team is busy. Standups are full. Nothing ships. You know something's wrong but everyone has a different explanation. You need one person to cut through and tell you what's actually broken.
CEO
Inherited a technology function you didn't build
You took over a company or a division. The tech is a black box. The previous CTO is gone. You need to understand what you're sitting on - and whether the person running it is the right one for the next phase.
CEO
Platform is breaking under growth
What worked at 10,000 users is falling apart at 500,000. Your team is firefighting instead of building. You need a structural answer, not another sprint of hotfixes.
CEO
Evaluating AI investment but unsure what's real
Everyone is pitching AI. You want to know which parts of your business actually benefit from it, what it genuinely costs to implement, and what your team needs to be able to do before it makes sense.
Founder
No senior technical voice at the table
You have engineers, but no one in the room who's made architecture decisions at scale. Choices that look fine today are quietly becoming expensive. You need a second opinion from someone who's seen where this goes.
Founder
Pre-Series A/B - building the tech team from scratch
You're about to hire your first Head of Engineering or CTO. You want to know what good looks like, what questions to ask, and how to avoid hiring someone who'll be the wrong fit in 18 months.
Founder
Stuck mid-way through a digital transformation
The project started with ambition and a plan. Six months in, it's delivered neither. The consultants are still billing. You want an independent read on what went wrong and what it actually takes to get it back on track.
Tech Advisory
Board or investor - technical due diligence
You need an independent read on whether the platform can support the next growth phase, whether the team is the right shape, and where the technical risk actually sits - before the term sheet, not after.
Tech Advisory
CTO or VP Engineering needing a second opinion
You're in the seat. You've got a view on what to do. You want thirty minutes with someone who's been in the same room, faced the same trade-offs, and can push back honestly - not just validate what you already think.
Consulting
Enterprise leader mid-way through a cloud or platform migration
The migration is behind schedule, over budget, or both. The vendor is managing expectations. You need someone who can look at what's actually happening and tell you whether to press on or cut losses.
FAQ
Quick answers
Is the session free?
Yes. Thirty minutes, no charge, no pitch. I'd rather spend half an hour figuring out whether I can genuinely help before either of us commits to anything more.
What should I prepare before the call?
One problem. Not a deck, not a background document. Just come with the thing that's actually keeping you up at night. The more specific you are, the more useful the conversation will be.
Do you take on permanent CTO or VP Engineering roles?
Yes. If the organisation and the mandate are right, it's worth talking. Book a slot - we'll know in thirty minutes whether there's something worth taking further.
Can you support teams outside India?
Yes. I've worked on-site and remotely across India, UAE, Maldives, the US, and Canada. Time zones have never been a real barrier - async works fine for most things.
